Ikea is now taking applications to fill nearly 300 jobs for the 380,000-square-foot store the Swedish home furnishings retailer is building in midtown St. Louis.
Salary information was not provided for the jobs posted online at Ikea-USA.com, but the company says it pays a living wage, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Job postings are expected to remain online for two weeks before the company turns its focus to interviews.
Ikea is looking to hire in areas including home furnishings sales, interior design, customer service, facility management and stockers. The store also needs about 60 food-service workers for its Swedish Foodmarket, Cafe Bistro and coworker cafeteria. The store is scheduled to open this fall.
