Ikea store in St. Louis slated to open Sept. 30

The $80 million, 380,000-square-foot Ikea store in St. Louis is scheduled to open 9 a.m. Sept. 30, the company announced this morning.

The store would be its 41st in the U.S., according to the St. Louis Business Journal.

“We are thrilled by the construction progress made to date and believe the remaining milestones and interior build-up will be completed by the end of September,” said John Achillea, store manager of Ikea St. Louis. “Besides furnishing our store, we are focused on training the 300 coworkers joining the Ikea family.”
