Ikea starts selling renewable energy

Ikea is branching out into renewable energy.

Starting with its home market of Sweden in September, the company plans to sell renewable electricity from solar and wind parks to households.

Svea Solar, a partner in the venture, will buy electricity on the Nordic power exchange Nord Pool and resell it to Ikea customers.
