Student organizations from local universities are invited to a college-themed “silly” Olympics 8–10 tonight at the Ice Park. Organizations with the most participants in various challenges will win a free skating and pizza party.
Family-oriented “silly” Olympic games will be 9 a.m.–12 p.m. Saturday on the East Plaza outside the Ice Park and inside the facility. The Party Place will provide inflatables and activities, and other games and activities will be available, including a workshop to create take-home Olympic medals.
On Sunday, a free public skating session will be held 7–8:30 p.m. in conjunction with the Olympics’ closing ceremonies in Italy. Admission is free and skate rental is $2.50.
Throughout the weekend, Olympic coverage will be broadcast on televisions in the Ice Park, including a 20-foot screen on the West Rink.
