Icahn sues Occidental over Anadarko takeover

Billionaire Carl Icahn filed suit against Occidental Petroleum for its planned purchase of Anadarko Petroleum.

Icahn claims the deal, valued at $57 billion, including debt, is overpriced and "misguided."

Icahn, whose firms own about $1.6 billion of Occidental stock, said in the suit the purchase price was "sky high" and the deal "raises very real questions about the competence" of the company's management and board.
