Icahn reportedly buying up Time Warner shares

Billionaire investor Carl Icahn is building an equity stake in Time Warner, people familiar with the matter told Reuters yesterday.

Time Warner owns cable channels HBO, TNT, TBS and Cartoon Network.

While Icahn did not respond to a request for comment from Reuters, he told CNBC he doesn't own any shares of Time Warner.
