Hyperloop wins first-round approval from Missouri House

The Missouri House this week gave a first round of approval to a proposed high-speed transportation system in partnership with Virgin Hyperloop One.

Rep. Travis Fitzwater, R-Holts Summit, the sponsor of the legislation, added an amendment banning eminent domain for Hyperloop use.

A recent study commissioned by House Speaker Elijah Haahr, R-Springfield, recommends a 15-mile test track that could cost up to $500 million. The full track linking St. Louis, Columbia and Kansas City is estimated at $10.4 billion.

Total waste of funds. $500,000,000 would fix lots of roads. $10.4 Billion would fix roads and bridges across the state to benefit al of Missouri.
