The wait for the best “hyperloop” routes is over.
Hyperloop One has chosen 10 routes in four countries as the most promising for Elon Musk’s radical transportation idea – and four of them are in the United States. According to The Daily Mail, they are:
• Dallas to Houston (640 miles);
• Miami to Orlando, Florida (257 miles);
• Chicago to Columbus, Ohio, to Pittsburgh (488 miles); and
• Cheyenne, Wyoming, to Denver to Pueblo, Colorado (360 miles).
The United Kingdom and India each has two of the proposed routes, while Mexico and Canada have one apiece.
Hyperloop is a developing travel method that would transport people at roughly 700 mph using vacuum-tube technology. It was unveiled by Musk in 2013.
The Daily Mail reports Hyperloop One plans to have three of the routes up and running in a commercial capacity by 2021.
