The law firms’ merger, under way since December, became complete Friday, and both are now operating as Husch Blackwell Sanders LLP. The merged firm has two offices and 40 employees in Springfield.
There are no immediate plans to move offices, according to a news release.
Virginia Fry, previously Blackwell Sanders managing partner, and Gary Powell, previously head of the local Husch & Eppenberger office, are now co-managing partners of the firm’s Springfield offices. They also serve on the firm’s 20-member partner board.
The new firm has 630 attorneys and would rank among the top 100 firms in the country based on revenue, according to the release. Chicago and Denver office openings are scheduled for this month.
