Husch Blackwell KC partner gains presidential appointment

A partner with Husch Blackwell LLP is headed to Washington, D.C.

The Kansas City Business Journal reports President Barack Obama selected Kansas City attorney Jim Ash for a position on the Board for International Food and Agricultural Development.

Ash has been a Husch Blackwell partner since 1993 and chairs its agribusiness unit.

The federal board helps advise the the U.S. Agency for International Development on issues pertinent to food insecurity in developing countries across the globe.
