“The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes” was No. 1 at the box office over the Thanksgiving and Black Friday holidays.
The movie brought in $11.4 million on Friday, adding onto the $13.2 million it nabbed across Wednesday and Thursday, Variety reports. In its opening a week earlier, the movie launched with $44 million.
The film scored more ticket sales over the long holiday weekend than Disney’s animated adventure “Wish” and Apple and Sony’s historical epic “Napoleon.”
