Springfield-based Hudson Hawk Barber & Shop is expanding to Ozark with the purchase of a barbershop in the city.
Hudson Hawk announced the acquisition of Outlaw Gentlemen Barber Shop's Ozark location in a news release. Brad Hashagen, chief financial officer for Hudson Hawk parent company HH Holding Co. LLC, said the deal is slated to close March 2 for undisclosed terms.
"We are honored to continue the legacy of quality and service that Outlaw Gentlemen established in Ozark," said Thad Forrester, co-founder of Hudson Hawk, in the release. "This move is not just an expansion for us but a testament to the strong community ties and the professionalism that both our brands cherish."
The shop at 127 E. Church St. in Ozark is expected to transition to the Hudson Hawk brand on March 4, said Hashagen. Four employees at the shop are staying on board with Hudson Hawk, he said.
Outlaw Gentlemen Barber Shop, which opened the 1,400-square-foot Ozark shop in 2023, plans to focus on its original location in Rogersville with the sale. Outlaw Gentlemen Barber Shop got its start in Rogersville in 2017.
“We are proud to have served the Ozark community for the past year and a half and know Hudson Hawk will continue to take great care of the guests we’ve served,” said Kix Nelson, owner of Outlaw Gentlemen Barber Shop, in the release. “The time was right for us to refocus our efforts on our original Outlaw Gentlemen shop in Rogersville that we started up back in 2017, and we’re excited to be able to do that."
Hudson Hawk's website lists 11 locations in Missouri, Arkansas and Oklahoma. The company has four shops in Springfield.
