Huckabee scolds Obama for allowing daughters to listen to Beyonce

In what could be a cue that Mike Huckabee is preparing to run for president in 2016 and would use social issues as a cornerstone of his campaign, the former Arkansas governor recently accused President Barack Obama and his wife of double standards in parenting.

Specifically, in an interview with People magazine where Huckabee was pushing his new book, “God, Guns, Grits and Gravy,” Huckabee took issue with the Obamas allowing their daughters to listen to pop artist Beyonce. He said while the first couple has watched carefully what their daughters eat, they haven’t taken issue with Beyonce’s lyrics, many of which he believes should be left for the bedroom, according to The Associate Press.

During a 2012 high-ticket New York fundraiser, Obama said Beyonce was a great role model for their girls, according to the AP.
