HSBC to cut thousands of jobs after ousting CEO

HSBC Holdings PLC is planning thousands of layoffs after it ousted CEO John Flint.

Flint, 51, held the role for 18 months. His ouster was unexpected, according to media reports.

The bank may cut up to 2% of its workforce comprising 237,685 employees.
