HS Baking chooses Joplin for $8M bakery

National snack and cracker maker HS Baking selected Joplin for a new $8 million bakery.

The price tag includes the purchase of new equipment and a manufacturing plant that was previously operated by General Mills.

The company plans to create 60 jobs in the city.

The plant will produce a new line of snack and cracker products.
