HP to slash up to 4,000 jobs in 3 years

HP Inc. plans to shed 3,000-4,000 jobs during the next three years, on top of some 3,000 layoffs since the company was formed after the breakup of Hewlett-Packard Co. a year ago.

The layoffs are part of the employer of 50,000's plan to increase quarterly dividends for shareholders.

In fiscal 2017, the company seeks to increase its quarterly dividends by 7 percent.
