HP Inc. announced plans to slash as much as 16% of its workforce.
That equates to 7,000 to 9,000 job cuts through firings and voluntary early retirement plans.
The personal computer company expects to save about $1 billion by the end of fiscal 2022 with the cuts. It's part of a restructuring designed to cut costs and boost sales growth.
