HP to acquire Samsung printer business for $1B

HP Inc. penned a deal to buy Samsung Electronics Co.'s printer business for $1.1 billion.

Subject to regulatory approvals, the deal is expected to close within 12 months.

Upon completion of the purchase, Samsung agreed to make an equity investment of $100 million-$300 million in HP through open-market stock purchases.
