How many Mo. millennials will buy a home?

Posted online
Sixty-eight percent of Missouri residents ages 18 to 34 plan to buy a home within five years, including 12 percent who would be first-time buyers, according to a BMO Harris Bank report.

Based on an online survey of 2,500 Americans, including 250 from Missouri, those aged 35 to 54 are 45 percent likely to buy a home in the next five years, according to the St. Louis Business Journal.

“The survey numbers show that the next few years should see a positive trend in home buying,” said Sandy Washington, BMO’s St. Louis retail market manager.
