House Republicans split, saving Saturday mail delivery

Looks like snail mail might still be crawling into your mailboxes on Saturdays.
 
Bloomberg Businessweek reports that an amendment to the House appropriations bill that would maintain Saturday mail delivery passed with bipartisan support.
 
GOP members voted with Democrats to pass the bill despite Republican leadership support of the Postmaster General's plan to save $2 billion annually by eliminating Saturday delivery, saying stopping Saturday mail delivery would "make life more difficult" for small businesses.
