The Missouri House of Representatives yesterday passed Gov. Mike Parson's Fast Track workforce development program.
Parson had sought $22 million for the scholarship program that connects adults with high-demand jobs. However, a House subcommittee diverted more than $4 million to fund other education priorities.
In the Senate, legislators have debated whether to cap the tuition level and if students should be required to stay in Missouri for a set period of time.
