The Missouri House of Representatives on March 29 approved the 2018 state budget plan of $27.7 billion.
The budget includes $48 million for early education programs and a deal with many universities to maintain the current funding level if a college does not raise tuition more than 1 percent. However, it does not restore cuts to services for seniors or the disabled, according to the Kansas City Star.
The budget now will be sent to the Senate for approval.
