Hotel mogul joins suit against Trump

Eric Goode, a New York hotel and restaurant owner, joined a suit alleging President Donald Trump violated the Constitution by receiving payments from foreign governments through his business empire.

The suit claims Trump businesses have an unfair advantage in the hospitality industry. According to the suit, U.S. government workers and foreign dignitaries may be redirecting business at restaurants and hotels in which Trump has financial interests.

The lawsuit was filed in January by the Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington.
