A night manager at a Drury Inn & Suites in St. Louis was killed during a robbery attempt early Thursday – one of six people fatally shot in the city during a 13-hour stretch that began Wednesday night.
Those who died were a part of five separate incidents. According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, three of the shootings seemed to be over domestic issues where police believe the victim knew the killer. One death occurred during a robbery where drugs could have been involved, and one was at the hotel off Hampton Avenue near Interstate 44.
Only one person had been arrested as of 1:45 p.m. yesterday, but police were said to have suspects in multiple cases. At the Drury Inn shooting, the hotel manager buzzed in the robber through a locked door thinking he was a hotel guest, according to police.
