Hong Kong tourism falls 40% as protests continue

Hong Kong Financial Secretary Paul Chan said the area's number of visitors fell by nearly 40% in August compared with a year earlier.

The drop in tourism comes as residents carry out antigovernment protests.

Around 30 million people visited Hong Kong last year.
