Hong Kong media tycoon Jimmy Lai was arrested by police for alleged violations of a new national security law Beijing imposed on the city in June.
An executive with Lai's media group said he was arrested "for collusion with foreign powers."
Lai, 71, owns tabloid Apple Daily, and he's also a pro-democracy figure in Hong Kong who has been known to criticize China's authoritarian rule.
