Hong Kong makes $37B bid for London Stock Exchange

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing announced Wednesday a proposal to buy the London Stock Exchange for $37 billion.

Including debt, the proposed deal is worth $39 billion.

The London Stock Exchange recently agreed to buy financial data provider Refinitiv in a move designed to compete with Bloomberg.
