Hong Kong bans passenger flights from UK

Hong Kong banned passenger flights from the United Kingdom in an attempt to curb the spread of COVID-19.

The government of Hong Kong is adding the United Kingdom to its list of "extremely high-risk" countries. That means flyers who have been in the country for longer than a 2-hour layover can't travel to Hong Kong.

The United Kingdom was taken off the list in May after being added in December 2020.
