Honeywell close to buyout of JDA Software

Honeywell International is close to buying out JDA Software, a person familiar with the matter told Dow Jones Newswires.

Industrial conglomerate Honeywell would boost its shift into software for the purchase. JDA Software makes software that helps businesses manage their supply chains.

The deal would value JDA at around $3 billion, including debt, and is expected to be announced as soon as Monday, the person said.
