Honest Co. settles over detergent

Jessica Alba's The Honest Co. agreed to settle a national class-action suit over the ingredients in its laundry detergent, dish soap and multipurpose cleaner.

The company will pay $1.55 million over the suit that alleged its detergent contained a chemical it promised to leave out.

Pending court approval of the deal, customers who bought the products will be able to apply for a refund.
