For the person with plans to build, decorate or remodel a home, the Home Builders Association's annual Home Show, Feb. 6-8 at University Plaza Trade Center, offers a one-stop forum for the latest in building materials, fixtures, financing options, home interiors, home exteriors and design trends.

"We've tried to make it one-stop shopping," said Louise Henson, executive officer of the Springfield HBA.

"There'll be representatives from remodeling, floor covering, building companies and lending institutions, among others, who will have booths set up with their products and will

be available for questions," she said.

More than 160 companies will be on hand to display their products and services during the three-day event.

In addition to goods and services, show attendees can also choose from a number of seminars during the event covering a wide range of topics.

Programs include:

? "Home Design: What's Hot and What's Not," presented by B&G Drafting

? "Decorating Tips & Tricks," presented by Marilyn Raines, ASID, of Final Touch

?"Spring Comes But Once in the Garden," presented by Nikki Petitt, of Wickman Gardens

? "Home Energy Efficiency," presented by nationally known speaker Doug Rye

? "Easy Fix-Ups Open Doors to Sales," presented by Realtor Cindy Graver, GRI, CRS, ABR

? "Remodeling Where to Start, Who to Call, How to Begin," and "Kitchen and Bath Remodeling," both presented by the HBA Remodelors Council

? "Building Your Custom Home," presented by HBA professionals

The show runs 1-9 p.m. Feb. 6, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Feb. 7 and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Feb. 8. The cost is $3 for adults 12 and over, and children under 12 are admitted free.

There's also an event pass available for $5, allowing visitors to come and go

freely throughout the show's three days.

Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Springfield HBA office, 1200 E. Woodhurst, Ste. Q, prior to Feb. 6, or at the door.

Free parking is provided and refreshments will be on sale during the event. For more information or to purchase tickets, call the HBA at 881-3711.
