Home sales climb 9 percent in Arkansas

February home sales climbed 9 percent in the Natural State as the price of those homes increased by over 6 percent, Arkansas Business reported Friday, citing data released by the Arkansas Realtors Association.

In all, 1,955 units sold in February, which is up from 1,793 sold in in the same month last year. The average price in the state landed at $155,901, up from $146,902 in February 2014. In addition, statewide valuation increased 15 percent during the month compared to the year before.

Pulaski County, which includes Little Rock, and Benton County, which includes Rogers, sold the most units with 323 and 293, respectively.
