Home Depot, Walmart send aid to tornado, flood victims

Home Depot and Walmart are among companies sending aide to victims of tornadoes and flooding in the Midwest.

Home Depot is providing funding, materials and volunteers to nonprofit partners, including Springfield's Convoy of Hope.

Walmart is donating cash and supplies to help people in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, South Dakota and Texas.

On Monday alone, as many as 53 tornadoes touched down across eight states stretching eastward from Idaho and Colorado.
