Home Depot profits, sales rise

Home Depot reported third-quarter profits and sales ahead of the same quarter a year earlier.

Profits rose 14 percent to $1.54 billion, while sales increased 5.4 percent to $20.52 billion, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Same-store sales were up 5.2 percent.
