Home Depot, Menards face lawsuits over lumber size

Menards and Home Depot are accused of deceiving buyers of four-by-four boards.

Lawsuits claim the two home improvement retailers sold lumber advertised as four-by-fours that were actually 3.5 inches by 3.5 inches.

“Defendant has received significant profits from its false marketing and sale of its dimensional lumber products,” the action against Menards contends.

Both suits are seeking class-action status.
