Home Depot increases earnings, revenue

Home Depot posted better quarterly earnings and revenue while also beating analysts' expectations.

Net income was $2.01 billion, up from $1.8 billion a year earlier. It beat per-share projections on Wall Street by 6 cents.

Revenue moved up to $23.89 billion from $22.76 billion. Analysts predicted $23.74 billion.
