Home Depot Inc. on Friday said CEO Craig Menear will take over as chairman when Frank Blake retires Feb. 2.
Menear, who had previously served as the company's head of retail operations, took over the chief executive post in November to succeed Blake in the role, according to Fox Business.
Menear has had a lot on his plate. Days after taking over as CEO, the company confirmed some 53 million customer's emails were stolen in a hacker attack that also compromised around 56 million credit cards. Still, the company is enjoying strong results on the back of the U.S. housing recovery.
