Home Depot beats earnings expectations

While Home Depot beat analysts' expectations on earnings, same-store sales fell short.

Adjusted earnings per share were $2.27, ahead of the $2.18 analysts expected. Revenue of $26.4 billion was on par with predictions.

Same-store sales rose 2.5% in the first quarter, below the 4.3% expected.
