Holloway America co-owner dies

Posted online
Holloway America co-owner Pat McKee died April 12 after a short illness. He was 66.

McKee purchased the stainless steel manufacturer - then Holloway Machine Co. - from United Machinery & Supply Co. in late 2005, according to Springfield Business Journal archives.

He served as president of the company until his death, according to Holloway co-owner Dave Simpson.

Simpson said he is now serving as president.

McKee, who began his career as an engineer working for companies including Bendix Corp., Ford Motor Co. and Zenith Electronics Corp., founded Precision Stainless Inc., which he sold in 2001. He also was a founding partner in charter air service OzAir, along with Mark Burgess and Bob Noble.

According to his obituary, McKee's motto was, "If you make your customers successful, you will be successful."

A memorial service is scheduled at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Second Baptist Church, 3111 E. Battlefield Road.[[In-content Ad]]
