Rick Ziegenfuss, Hollister's city administrator since the early 2000s, is set to retire from the municipality.
Ziegenfuss is scheduled to retire on April 30, 2025, according to a news release. First joining Hollister in 2002 as director of economic development, he became city administrator in 2003.
“It has indeed been my pleasure to have had the opportunity to serve the residents, businesses, guests and elected officials alongside the city of Hollister staff for the past 23 years," Ziegenfuss said in the release. "Over that time, Hollister has evolved from a town into a city with a commitment to its stakeholders to be a relevant partner in the Tri-Lakes region of tomorrow."
The Hollister board has started the search for Ziegenfuss' successor, according to the release.
