The holding company of a pair of Branson-area banks is merging the two businesses under one name.
Southeast Missouri operation Alton Bancshares Inc., which last year purchased Kimberling City-based Table Rock Community Bank, now is merging the company with another of its holdings, First Community Bank of the Ozarks, according to a news release. Table Rock Community Bank will be the surviving name of the combined entity.
“We are very excited to bring together two high-performing and trusted organizations," said Kendall Combs, chair of Alton Bancshares, in the release. "Each has invested heavily in serving our communities. This combination enables us to serve a larger area with the core values and differentiated service we have delivered for many years."
The two banks combined would have $317 million in assets and six branches. The merger is expected to be completed by Nov. 30.
Alton Bancshares' purchase of First Community Bank of the Ozarks was finalized in June 2022, according to past reporting.
