O'Reilly Hospitality Management LLC is set to open its $9.8 million, 140,000-square-foot Hilton Garden Inn today at 4155 S. Nature Center Way.
Courtney Brown, controller for O'Reilly Hospitality Management, said a Hilton Hotels Corp. inspector was performing a final inspection of the hotel as of 11 a.m.
"As far as we know, we're still on track," she said.
Hilton Garden Inn is within Rankin Development LLC's The Shoppes at James River, a 15-acre project near the James River Freeway and Glenstone Avenue interchange.
On March 11, O'Reilly Hospitality officials led Springfield Business Journal staff on a tour of the facility.
Tim O'Reilly, CEO of the accommodation and food services company, said the facility is at a prime location because of the 190,000 cars per day passing within a quarter-mile of the site.
Designed under Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design specifications, the hotel's utility bill is expected to save 40 percent compared to the standard Hilton Garden Inn, O'Reilly said.
The 125-room hotel features a saltwater pool among its amenities, and rooms range from $129-179 a night.
O'Reilly Hospitality is currently seeking workers for the hotel, including night auditors, front desk clerks, housekeeping, maintenance, cooks, servers, bartenders and banquet staff, according to its
Web site.
The general contractor for the five-story hotel was Killian Group LLC, while Empire Bank provided the loan, according to
Springfield Business Journal archives.
Rita Baron of Baron Design & Associates LLC performed the interior design work.
O'Reilly Hospitality opened a Houlihan's location in The Shoppes at James River in September.
O'Reilly Hospitality Management also manages a Doubletree Hotel in north Springfield, a Baymont Inn & Suites in Branson, Yellowstone Valley Lodge in Livingston, Mont., as well as another Houlihan's in north Springfield, a Houlihan's in Columbia and Paradise Valley Grill in Livingston, Mont., according to its
Web site.
