Higher coffee prices kick in at the supermarket

Coffee drinkers are about to get a jolt that has nothing to do with caffeine levels.
 
Retail coffee prices will soon reflect the price jump that hit coffee futures in April, reports Bloomberg Businessweek. Folgers and Dunkin' Donuts packaged-coffee prices are up by 9 percent; other top selling brands such as Maxwell House and Yuban are expected to also increase their prices.
 
A drought in Brazil and a fungus affecting coffee crops in other Latin American countries are blamed for the spike in coffee prices, according to the report.
