Hewlett Packard Enterprise early today completed the spin-off of much of its software business.
The enterprise software business merged with British software company Micro Focus International.
The move is said to end the disastrous 2011 acquisition of British firm Autonomy, which caused HPE to take $8.8 billion in losses almost immediately.
