It may seem all doom and gloom for brick-and-mortar retailers, but that’s not the case for some. Fox Business chose three retailers that fared well in 2017.
1. Gap
The company’s shares appreciated by more than 50 percent during the year, with positive comparable sales growth in each quarter. Gap also is expanding internationally with the launch of its largest store in China.
2. Abercrombie & Fitch
With its shares up 50 percent this year, Abercrombie & Fitch had an active year that included a terminated sale discussion.
3. Guess
During the third quarter, Guess posted adjusted diluted share earnings growth of 9.1 percent compared with the previous quarter. Revenue rose 3.3 percent.
