Hearing held for Missouri Gas Energy rate case

Posted online
A public hearing will be held next month in a rate case filed by Missouri Gas Energy, which hopes to increase its nongas revenues by about $41.7 million per year.

The Missouri Public Service Commission will take public comment at the Oct. 26 hearing in Republic. Customers may also bring any service-related problems to the commission’s attention at that time.

Missouri Gas Energy, which serves about 510,000 natural gas customers in western Missouri, filed the rate increase case in May. If approved, the increase would raise residential customers’ monthly bills by about $6.52.

The hearing begins at 5:30 p.m. at Republic R-III High School, 1 Tiger Drive.[[In-content Ad]]
