Ozark-based HealthMedX is hiring for 65 technology jobs and investing $1 million in capital improvements, according a news release by the Springfield Business Development Corp.
The health care software provider plans a 2 p.m. news conference to announce details, and Gov. Jay Nixon is scheduled to attend, according to separate news releases. Members of the Springfield Regional Economic Partnership, a program of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, the Ozark Chamber of Commerce and the city of Ozark, also are scheduled to attend and discuss the partnership’s role in the expansion plans.
HealthMedX, 5100 N. Towne Centre Drive, currently employs more than 140, serving roughly 3,000 health care provider locations nationally with home care, long-term care and rehabilitationsoftware needs. The privately held firm was founded in 1999.
“The growth we have experienced and that is planned at HealthMedX in the coming year is very exciting,” CEO Jim Atteberry said in the release. “When Charlie Daniels, Dan Cobb and I founded HealthMedX, we focused on employees’ ability to grow their careers while also growing in their personal lives.”
