Health system lays off 91 in Arkansas

Englewood, Colo.-based Catholic Health Initiatives and its affiliate, St. Vincent Health System, is laying off 91 employees from its Arkansas operations.

The bulk of layoffs will come from the system’s hospital in Hot Springs, Ark., though some will come from its hospitals in Little Rock, North Little Rock and a few from its Morrilton, Ark., location, according to Arkansas Business.

Some of the laid off employees have been offered other positions within the system.

The move was made to create a single statewide system for CHI St. Vincent.
