Health Programs at Cox in September

Coping with Cancer, a four-part series of educational classes for people with cancer, will be offered 4-5:30 p.m. Sept. 3, 10, 17 and 24 at Cox Medical Plaza II, Ste. 310. Presented by Susan Henderson, MS, and Barbara Wachtel-Nash, PsyD, the program covers being involved in your cancer treatment, the negative effects of stress and how to manage stress, how to use friends and family to aid recovery and how goal setting can help your response to cancer. The fee is $15 for the series, and family members are invited to accompany participants at no extra cost. For more information or to register, call 269-6891.

Before You Conceive Planning Your Pregnancy will be presented at 7 p.m. Sept. 10 in Foster Auditorium at Cox South. The discussion will cover physical, emotional and financial aspects when considering pregnancy. For more information or to register for the free program, call 269-4664.

Varicose and Spider Veins Help is Available will be held at 7 p.m. Sept. 15 in Foster Auditorium at Cox South. The program will detail new treatments available for these painful or unsightly problems. Presented by Charles Dunn, MD, the program is free and open to the public. Oh, My Aching Knees, a program for those with knee aches or injuries, will be held at 7 p.m. Sept. 29 in Foster Auditorium at Cox South.
