The Springfield-Greene County Health Department issued a warning Tuesday to avoid traveling to areas impacted by the coronavirus.
Clay Goddard, the department's director, said six of eight cases reported since Friday were travel-related incidences.
"While we are relaxing restrictions here, COVID-19 is not over," Goddard said. "Travel is not advised right now."
The Health Department also warned of potential exposure at the Walmart on East Kearney Street and a Dollar General in northeast Springfield.
An announcement is expected today on the next reopening phase.
